Virtual Write-Up #10

Response to the presentation was more positive and encouraging. The instructors agreed that I was able to prepare well for the presentation. The presentation covered all areas of the project including the evaluation. The slides were well prepared, with complete and precise bullets. Just by reading the slides, without going into further details, one can easily understand the whole project. The slides used simple English that is easy to understand. My confidence during the presentation was good. I also answered well all the questions asked. These are some of the feedback I received. During the presentation, I remained interested in the whole process.

One question that arose is how the intervention will be maintained and any follow-up needed. The initial cost of implementing the intervention will be high, however, the subsequent costs will not be so high after its incorporation into the system (Gwarzo, 2018). To maintain the intervention, it will be made a polity of the healthcare setting. Frequent and proper handwashing should be a policy in healthcare. This intervention will also be maintained through clinical supervision and monthly reports regarding the practices. The monthly reports will sustain the whole intervention. The intervention will also be covered in the yearly budget to ensure sufficient funding. For example, things such as soap and water will be budgeted for (Gwarzo, 2018). Staff training, about handwashing, which should happen at least once every year, will also be budgeted for. Follow-up needed should include continuous evaluation and report about the project to identify whether it is a short-term or long intervention.
