Social Determinants of Health Overview
Social determinants of health (SDOH) can be divided into five domains that describe the conditions that affect a person’s quality of life outcomes and risks. The five domains are economic stability, health care access and quality, social and community context, education access and quality, and neighborhood and built environment. These domains include all conditions or environments where people may live, learn, work, play, worship, and their age that may affect their health.
