conditions for the first time. Imagine they’ve recently been diagnosed with these two
conditions. As you’re explaining to them, remember that the average health literacy level for
adults in the United States is between 5th and 6th grade level. Please also include the risk
factors or lifestyle factors for why they may have been diagnosed with the chosen condition,
but do not go into the treatment of these conditions.
