A male nurse has been assigned to assess a new patient. The patient is a 58-year-old female who identifies as Muslim on her new patient forms. She does not speak English. She is accompanied by her husband (who also does not speak English) and her daughter. The daughter is acting as translator. The woman is alert and oriented, but she is not answering any of the questions asked of her. When asked a question, she looks at her husband who answers for her.
