Economics Dealing with Israel and Its Strategic Importance
The United States and Israel have a strong economic relationship going back to 1985 when they
established and signed the Free Trade Agreement. Israel is one of the world’s most advanced
countries. In 1948, the country gained its independence. Defense spending has put a damper on
the economy, which has reduced growth overall. The government spent a large percentage of its
budget on defense, leaving little money for economic development. It has become one of the
world’s most advanced economies as a result of dramatic changes in its economic development
since its founding. Regarding the human development index, Israel ranks 22nd globally, with a per
capita income higher than many wealthy countries. It is one of the most sought-after business
partners in the world because of its quick economic growth and economic capabilities typified by
a low inflation index. The country’s per capita venture was 2.5 times greater than that of the United
States, making it the greatest in the world. As a result, it has become one of the most sought-after
destinations for international trade and investment.
