Kashfia Rahman in her Ted Talk makes a startling discovery at the end of her own experiments on risk. She realizes her own risk behavior. It was POSITIVE risk which seemed to “habituate” more positive risk. Recall a time when you OR a peer engaged in POSITIVE risk. Then, think of a time when you OR a peer engaged in negative risk. Respond to the following prompts with the information you have learned in this module and that behavior in mind:

• Describe the positive risk and then the negative risk.
• Based upon our module learning, what neural development plays a role in risk taking behavior in adolescence? Apply this to your own examples of positive and negative risk.
• Next, discuss whether the risk behavior lead to future risks in the same area.
• Compare how you thought/felt about the risks then and now.
• Can you think of an area looking into the future where you could take a positive risk?
