Academic Resources or Strategies
Academic and professional resources/strategies are essential in ensuring the success of the MSN program. The academic strategies include academic mentorship, the university library, the writing center, and peer study groups (NursingCenter, 2021). Academic mentorship at Walden involves enrolment into the advisor’s office. The advisor guides the student based on that particular program. I will use this resource to learn skills that will ensure my success academically. The University library is a very important academic resource that I will use to gain access to various books, articles, and other resources. I will use it to complete all course assignments and projects. The students writing center helps graduate students to acquire adequate writing skills. I will use this academic resource to completes assignments, reports, and course projects. Peer study groups are used to provide effective learning opportunities for students (NursingCenter, 2021). I will use it to understand new concepts related to my course.
Professional Resources or Strategies
Professional strategies/resources are also important in ensuring the success of the MSN program. The identified professional resources/strategies include nursing and organizational bodies, development programs, and professional mentorship programs (NursingCenter, 2021). professional bodies and organizations have several opportunities for students. The American Nurses Association (ANA) offers nurses the opportunity to participate in professional activities and research events like conferences, seminars, and others (ANA, n.d.). Development programs involve necessary interventions that the institution has to guide the acquisition of important skills for learners. I will use these resources to sharpen extra knowledge and skills outside my course. I will also need professional mentorship to help me facilitate the learning process.
