For this assignment, you will develop a game of \”Life\” board game that will explore your projections of what life could be like when you reach middle adulthood. Evaluate the information you have attained about middle adulthood, to include physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional, and social changes that take place during this period in lifespan development. Include board stops that include incidents that reflect the changes that occur in each of these area. You can include draw cards that address current research data, such as the fact that people are working longer and often have extended family members living in their household. For example, a person lands on \”draw life change card\” and the card they pull states \”Your elderly parent needs long-term care, you will need to go back 5 spaces to cover the cost of long-term care\”.
Using the following color code for the places (and/or pull cards) on your board, create realistic projections of what your life will be like when you reach middle adulthood in relation to the following:
Physical characteristics and changes
Health (consider heredity and environmental influences)
Personality
Hobbies
Your goals and ambitions
Your employment
Your social and civic responsibilities
Your marital status and family composition
Retirement plans

Reflective Journal: Middle Adulthood Predictions
Middle adulthood comes with a lot of changes in the physical development, health, and hobbies of human beings. Whenever I think of my middle adulthood, I picture myself as an older man experiencing the onset of wrinkles on the face and gray hair and bombarded with responsibilities. I look forward to preventing the changes that I can delay by leaving a healthy lifestyle. For example, will try as much as possible to engage myself in physical activities and keep healthy eating habits and hygiene to prevent disease (Elder, 2017).
The primary responsibilities I imagine revolve around being a family man. I presume I will be having a family by then and, at the same time, my parent will be depending on me due to old age. My mother will be aged and I will be the one to take care of her financial needs, dietary needs, and health care needs. I plan to have two kids who, by then will be at the prime of their education. Aside from just paying their fee, I will be teaching them other life values and skills like good morals and hobbies as they grow up.
My adulthood time will be limited to my family than friends. My hobbies will change to include my family in most of them. I’ll have to take them for tours, hikes, dinners, and so on. Furthermore, I will be celebrating holidays like Easter and Christmas with my wife and kids alongside their birthdays and anniversaries. By then I shall have worked my ways out to set up a business that will be giving me a good income alongside employment.
Adulthood is also associated with many health problems. In my family arthritis is a genetic condition that has been affecting my past generations. I am at a high risk of being affected by arthritis, especially in my adulthood. I will have to do a lot of physical exercises and practice healthy eating habits to prevent the early onset of this disease (Elder, 2017).
