Upload your 1–2-page educational presentation or poster for peer review. Please be sure that you discuss how you delivered the education (oral, written, etc.). Faculty and peers will provide feedback. This week’s discussion will focus on the constructive critique of your peers\’ community education.
Please discuss your plan for evaluating the effectiveness of your education on the health outcomes of the vulnerable population.

I delivered the education on nutrition and hand hygiene using written educational material. The educational material aimed at sensitizing the target group on the importance of healthy eating patterns like consuming fresh vegetables, whole fruits, limited dairy, oils, and a variety of proteins all of which will supply the body with the necessary nutrients for growth and development and the maintenance of a high immunity. Hand hygiene education is aimed at educating the audience on the proper handwashing procedure. I utilized a poster whose language was designed to suit a grade 5 pupil while at the same time incorporating both words and graphics.
I plan on evaluating the effectiveness of the education based on the population’s modification of behavior. A positive change of behavior will demonstrate the effectiveness of the educational intervention while resistance to change will show that the education did not result in a change of perceptions, or better still instill knowledge on the population. I would evaluate whether the population has changed eating patterns like eating the recommended portions based on their age, consuming fresh and whole meals rather than processed foods, and most importantly by demonstrating having understood the need to eat healthy meals to achieve optimal health.
On hand washing, the population should be able to clean their hands with soap and running water to minimize the transmission of infectious agents from one person to the other (Rundle et al., 2020). Similarly, the older members of the population should be able to create a culture of proper handwashing by teaching the young ones and ensuring that every member of the population is safe and is at a lower risk of acquiring diseases.
