Israel’s security is a long-standing cornerstone of United States foreign policy. Israelis
and Americans are connected by their shared commitment to democracy, regional security, and
economic prosperity. The United States and Israel are linked together in several of the same
international organizations, which include the International Monetary Fund, United Nations, and
World Trade Organization, to name a few. This paper will discuss the strategic importance of
Israel to the United States and our Diplomatic regional partners. Israel is a shining light in that
region of the world due to its prosperous democracy.
